Terms of Service

What Naviby is

Naviby is a decision-support tool for airline employees and eligible standby travelers. We rank recovery options when a standby flight does not work. We are not a ticketing or booking service, and we do not grant or guarantee boarding rights. Listings, eligibility, and rebooking authority remain with your carrier.

Eligibility

You may use Naviby only if you have a legitimate, employer- or airline-granted standby or ZED eligibility (or you are travelling as an eligible family member of someone who does). You confirm your access through the in-app checklist. You agree that the access you self-declare is accurate and current. We never collect, store, or transmit your airline employer credentials.

Your responsibilities

  • Always verify listing, check-in, visa, entry, and staff-travel rules with your airline or official source before traveling.
  • Do not upload or share data from FlyZED, MyIDTravel, ResWeb, NetEx, ID90, or any other proprietary carrier system. Contributions must be from your own lived observation or a public source (gate display, agent announcement).
  • Do not abuse shared trip links or attempt to scrape, automate, or reverse-engineer the service beyond personal use.
  • One account per person. Do not share login credentials.

Subscriptions & billing

Premium is available as a monthly or annual subscription, processed by Stripe. Current pricing:

  • Monthly Premium — $4.99 USD, charged monthly. Cancel anytime; Premium remains active through the end of the paid period.
  • Annual Premium — $49.99 USD, charged yearly. Cancel anytime; Premium remains active through the end of the paid period.
  • Founding Partner — $29 USD, paid one time. Grants lifetime access to Premium as currently defined, subject to the "Founding Partner" section below.

Recurring subscriptions auto-renew until you cancel. Manage your subscription, update your card, or download invoices from the Stripe Customer Portal accessible at /app/profile. On cancellation, you keep Premium until the paid period ends and then automatically revert to the Free tier — no further charges.

Refunds

We offer a 14-day refund window on first-time purchases, no questions asked. Request a refund by emailing support@naviby.com within 14 days of the original charge. Subsequent renewals are non-refundable except where required by applicable consumer protection law. Cancel before the next renewal date to avoid being charged again.

Founding Partner tier

  • The Founding Partner tier is capped at 150 spots. When the cap is reached or the offer is retired, it disappears from checkout.
  • "Lifetime" means lifetime access to Premium as currently defined at the time of your purchase. We may launch additional, separately-priced tiers in the future (e.g. team plans, advanced AI features). Those are not included.
  • The Founding Partner number assigned to your account is non-transferable and tied to the original account holder.
  • Lifetime access is contingent on the service remaining operational. If Naviby is shut down, sold, or fundamentally repositioned, we will provide reasonable notice; no refund of the one-time fee is owed after the 14-day refund window.

Nav Points

  • Nav Points (NP) are a non-cash, non-transferable loyalty signal earned for community contributions (load observations, outcomes, referrals, eligibility-rule contributions, etc.).
  • NP have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be sold or transferred between accounts.
  • NP may be redeemed for Premium access time at the rates published in-app (currently 1,000 NP = 1 month Premium). Redemption rates may change with notice.
  • We may adjust, revoke, or recompute NP balances for accounts we identify as fraudulent, automated, or in violation of these Terms. Honest contributors are not affected.
  • On account deletion, all NP are forfeited.

Community contributions

When you submit an observation (load, outcome, eligibility quirk, equipment swap, etc.), you grant Naviby a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, aggregate, and de-identify your contribution for the purpose of operating the service. We do not claim ownership of your underlying lived experience. Anonymized aggregates are surfaced to other users only after at least three independent reports converge.

You represent that your contributions are your own observations (or from public sources) and that you have the right to share them. You must not submit data sourced from carrier proprietary systems or data covered by an employment NDA.

No warranty

Naviby provides recommendations based on a deterministic scoring engine using publicly available route data, third-party schedule data (FlightAware AeroAPI), and your self-declared eligibility. Scores are decision support, not predictions. We make no warranty that you will get a seat, that schedules shown are correct at any moment, or that listing or visa rules will be honored. The service is provided "as is" and "as available."

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Naviby is not liable for missed connections, denied boardings, additional travel costs, accommodation costs, or any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid Naviby in that period (which may be zero).

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Naviby harmless from any claim, loss, or damages (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the service, or contributions you submit that violate third-party rights or employment obligations.

Account termination

You may delete your account at any time at /app/account/delete. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the service, submit fraudulent contributions, or attempt to circumvent rate limits or scoring. Suspended accounts forfeit Nav Points balances; paid subscriptions are refunded pro rata from the suspension date.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced at sign-in or via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the courts of British Columbia, except where local consumer-protection law guarantees you a different forum.
